Friday Inspiration

Where has the time gone? My grandkids are already out for the summer (their last day was Tues.) and yesterday they spent the day with me helping out with some of our orders, and I am so proud of them. They remembered everything I showed them from last year

I love this quote I found a few days ago. No matter how crazy life gets if I take the time to stop and count my blessings I'm reminded of how great my life really is.
Have a great weekend.

Friday Inspiration: Spread The Love With May Day Baskets

May 1st sneaked up on me this year. I had every intention of making several May Day Baskets for my neighbors but I didn't. So it seems I need to throw something together fairly quickly. Thankfully I stumbled across this post from Homey Oh My. She used her little flower bundles as Valentine gifts but they would work perfect for a May Day Baskets!

First bundle together small bunches of flowers with a rubber band.
Next lay the flower bundle on one of the corners of a square sheet of tissue paper.
Wrap a second time with stiff paper like Kraft Paper and tie with a ribbon.
You could punch a couple of holes at the top and add a loop to hand the flowers on a door knob.

Friday Inspiration

Have you ever felt plagued by not getting enough done over the weekend? This quote is a good reminder (myself included) that time spent doing the things I love is not wasted. I can't get everything completed during the week that I would have liked to but the weekend was made for recharging batteries. And that's time well spent.

Friday Inspiration: Make the Days Count!

It's easy to get caught up in a to-do list. I'm constantly checking things off but I still feel like I'm not getting any traction. That's why I love this quote. Whenever I feel this way I look over my list and see what really matters, not just do whatever I feel like doing. It works every time. Happy Friday!!!

Friday Inspiration

Can't believe the month of February is almost over. So far this year I have stuck with my goal of getting more organized around the house (by using this as a guide). What have been some of your goals this year and have you been able to stick with them?

Friday Inspiration

We might be able to hide it a little better than children can, but sometimes we just need a nap. Here's to a restful weekend.

Friday Inspiration

Sounds about right. I've just started organizing/deep cleaning my home with the help of the January Cure and I'm seeing great improvements already.  If you're anything like me organization is not your strong suit and keeping things "just in case" is a a way of life. This 21 step "cure" is great. So happy I stumbled across it and thought I would share it with you.

Friday Inspiration

I came across this quote and thought I would share. It reminded me of what I said last week about taking some time to reflect over the past year. So many things can happen over the course of a year that I don't want to forget.

Friday Inspiration

We all make mistakes. I know I've made plenty over the past year, but thankfully I can learn from them. The end of the year is always a good time to reflect. Some things we've tried in our business have failed, some have succeeded, and I'm excited to work towards the new goals we've set for 2015.

Specific and Measurable (read 12 books a year one book a month)

Friday Inspiration

I'm someone who loves to entertain. It doesn't matter what the occasion may be I enjoy playing the hostess and making everyone feel at home. I thought this image was cute and a good reminder not to worry about the size of your house but to be thankful for the fellowship of family and friends. May you always have more friends and family than space to fit them all in your home. Have a good weekend.

Friday Inspiration

I had a rude awakening this morning with the snow falling softly outside my window. We're in the Holiday Season and it snuck up on me again this year. To gear myself up for Thanksgiving I thought on Fridays I would share what I'm thankful for. Today I'm thankful for my husband and my kids. Although my kids don't live with me anymore, I am thankful to get to see them on a regular basis since all three of my girls live close by.
