Bloglovin' is a sight that is relatively new to me but apparently has been around for quite a while (2007). I just discovered it a few months ago (you can find me here) and I have to say I love using this sight! This site has made it simple for me to keep up with all my favorite blogs (read at my own pace) and discover new ones.
Bloglovin' will email you once a day (or less if there are no new posts) all the new blogposts from the blogs you're following. Follow the link in the email to start reading right away, or you can come back to them later. I enjoy setting aside some time in the morning and also on the weekends to catch up on blog posts. Simply go to bloglovin.com log in and begin reading. No need to save the emails they send. I just quickly glance them over before deleting them.
One of my favorite features is the "mark as read" button. I enjoy making lists and crossing things off. Do you? Once a post is read it becomes faded and the "mark as read" button becomes checked (you can undo this by clicking "mark as unread"). Once you refresh your screen only the unread post will be visible. I also appreciate the blue number in the top right corner that tells me how many new posts I have left to read (23).
Other features on Bloglovin'
1. This button allows you to sort your reading list by:
- Blog
- Newest first
- Oldest first
- Small images (like the image above)
- Big images (the first image of each blog post appears much larger)
2. Explore - allows you to explore posts in several different categories
3. Find Blogs - allows you to explore blogs from several different categories
4. Search blogs - allows you to type in the name of a blog you want to find, or a drop down menu will let you chose a category.
For me Bloglovin' has become a go-to-site to keep track of all my favorite bloggers and discover new ones along the way.
